Town dominated visitors Brigstock at Bretton Gate, but couldn’t prise out opener George Groenland, who batted throughout the innings for 81, or number 11 Ethan Delargy who survived 15 balls to secure a draw.

Brigstock closed on 159-9 in 50 overs after Town had been dismissed for 283 with Nick Paskins (69no) leading a consistent batting display.

Oundle delivered an excellent batting display in a drawn game at Desborough. Ben Wright and Pete Morgan struck half centuries as Bourne made it two wins out of two in the Lincs Premier Division with a comfortable success over Sleaford.

Market Deeping were well beaten at Grantham despite an unbeaten 76 from pro Zeeshan Manzoor and 58 from Dave Sargeant.

England Lion and Notts first-class player Zak Chappell made a rare appearance for his local club Stamford, but he couldn’t save them from defeat in a Cambs Division One fixture at Cambridge St Giles. Chappell took 1-23 from 10 overs and scored eight runs.
