Peterborough Town aim to take advantage of a second chance in the ECB Club KO, county ladies beaten
Peterborough Town get a second crack at the 2026 ECB Club KO competition on Sunday.
The city side were reinstated after losing their first round match at home to Hornsey earlier this month. The Middlesex League side had inadvertently fielded two ineligible players.

Town will now host East-London based Waltham in round two of the 40-over competition at Bretton Gate (1pm start). Waltham are a Sunday club made up of Essex Premier League players so another tough game is expected. In-form Town batsmen Nick Green and Josh Smith could hold the key to victory.
Before then Town will hope to make it two wins in two Northants Premier Division games at Overstone Park on Saturday. The city side lost this fixture last season and it promises to be a tricky game again as both sides plundered in excess of over 300 when winning opening day matches.
Overstone celebrated two centurions in their big win over Rushden & Higham, Ram Patel and Ben Sales. Rushden are the visitors to Oundle Town on Saturday (11am start) when the home side will look to bounce back to form after a slow start to the season, in T20 cricket as well as the 50-over competition.
Oundle will want more from South African pro seamer Johannes Van Dyk who went wicketless in nine overs in defeat last weekend.
