CRICKET: Craythorne was one of Peterborough's greatest players
Craythorne, a classy left-handed batsman and astute skipper, played most of his career for Westwood Works and Baker Perkins.

Hide AdBut those who stepped on to the field with him insist he could have played at a much higher level.
Former team-mate Brian Holdich said: “I played with (future England captain) MJK Smith at Stamford School and Johnny could have been as good as he was if he had played on better wickets. He is among the best of all local cricketers alongside Tony Howorth and Mike Taylor.”
The funeral is at Peterborough Crematorium on Friday March 10 at 12.30pm.
