Classy Gill eases to unanimous points win in Sky TV’s ‘Fight Camp’ bout

Classy Chatteris boxer Jordan Gill delivered a stylish and dominant display to beat tough featherweight opponent Reece Bellotti last night (August 1).

Gill was given the honour of opening the first of four ‘Fight Camp’ nights to be staged in the back garden of promoter Eddie Hearn’s mansion in Essex and he didn’t disappoint.

Gill’s jab was the most potent weapon of a one-sided fight against a game opponent. His unanimous points verdict success was predictable from a long way out and especially after a cut appeared under Bellotti’s eye in the sixth round.

The bout was screened live on Sky Sports and the commentators were surprised that Gill didn’t win by a bigger margin than the official 97-93, 97-93, 96-95 verdict.

It was a terrific comeback from Gill (26) following a tough spell when he suffered the first defeat of his professional career and picked up a serious illness.

His career record now reads 25 wins and one defeat from 26 fights.
