The eight players will be split in two groups of four, with the winner of each section progressing through to the best-of-five frame final.

Reigning Players Championship winner Harvey Chandler heads Group A, alongside fourth seed Paul Sparrow, Australian Ryan Thomerson, who was victorious in the Masters Cup, and Southend’s Matt Glasby, who was the Champions Trophy runner-up back in April.

Group B consists of former professional Gary Skipworth, who triumphed in the Shoot-Out earlier in the year, Snooker Classic champion Jamie Turner, Ipswich star and Six Reds winner Courtney Symons and Peterborough’s sole representative, Steve Martin.

A £100 bonus also awaits the year-end number one, with Chandler currently occupying top spot, but much can change before the final positions are decided.

Play commences at 9.45am on Sunday and spectators are welcome.
