ATHLETICS: Scott scorches home in the Cambridge Half-Marathon
Aaron Scott raced to a convincing victory in the Cambridge Half-Marathon yesterday (February 28).
The Stamford-based athlete, who was running for Notts AC, stormed home in 66mins 47secs and that was over three minutes clear of runner-up Michael Eccles from Norfolk Gazelles.
He finished in 70:04 with Per Wangel of Axa Sports Club third in 71:00.
Scott’s best time for the distance is 66:22.
In the same race, Sarah Overington of Eye Community Runners broke a 16 year-old club record when finishing in 88:21.
