Woman sexually assaulted in March

Police are investigating after a sexual assault was reported in March last night (Sunday, March 6).

A woman has reported a serious assault in the Wigstones Road area of the town.

Officers are now appealing for more information.

A police statement says: “We were called yesterday at 8.50pm to reports of a serious sexual assault on a woman in her 30’s in the Wigstones Road area, March.

“The investigation is ongoing and anybody with information should call 101.”

Police are also continuing to investigate the rape of a woman in her 40s in The Spinney, near Waterlees Road, Wisbech, on February 9.
