Dingo, the emaciated Staffordshire Bull Terrier found dumped in Peterborough by RSPCA officers earlier this month is on the way to a full recovery.

Christened Dingo, but now renamed Nigel, by the RSPCA team caring for him, he was found on Friday, January 15, in Ham Lane near Ferry Meadows in Peterborough.

Thought to be 4-5 years old, the Peterborough Telegraph reported at the time how he was severely underweight and in dire need of some TLC.

But, we’re now pleased to say he is now well on the road to a happy life.

An RSPCA spokesman said: “He’s already put on a load of weight in the past 10 days and as you can see from the video, is really well trained already.

“His story has been followed by Channel 5’s ‘The Dog Rescuers’ and could well be aired later this summer.

“We are now 100% confident he will make a FULL recovery and he’ll be in a new home very soon.
