Police officers couldn’t believe their eyes therefore when they stopped this car last night, Tuesday January 26, travelling down the A1 at Peterborough.

The windscreen was completely smashed and was almost impossible to see through, making for a very dangerous drive home.

Police pulled over the driver of the Mitsubishi L200 Animal at 9.45pm after he was spotted driving erratically by an ambulance driver on the A1M southbound.

The man, aged in his 30s, had hit the central reservation a few times and officers were deployed and located the vehicle, which had a completely shattered windscreen, at Boongate in Peterborough.

The driver was reported for a number of traffic offences.
