Two parties for 100-year-old

A great grandma celebrated her 100th birthday with two parties in Peterborough.

Phyllis Burton marked her milestone birthday with a party involving her family in the morning, and one for friends in the afternoon.

Phyllis even had a special visitor arrive from Australia to mark the occasion at Stevenson Court in Peterborough earlier this month.

She also received the traditional 100th Birthday card from The Queen,

Daughter Ann Barnard said: “Lots of people came to the parties - we even had one niece come from Australia.”

Phyllis has two children - Ann and John Burton (pictured) - four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
