Hide AdToday, a spokeswoman for Peterborough City Council said: “We have planned for the Bank Holdiay weekend highways management company to come and assist with the flow of traffic into and out of the site, we are preparing contingency plans for periods of high demand to keep the adjacent highway flowing. Traffic management has been in place for the past few weekends.
“The site is still subject to the required Covid-19 social distancing requirements and remains at less than full capacity, an issue nationally not just here, and as such we ask people to only make essential journeys and to be aware that the site might need to close if full to allow free passage of passing traffic, asking people to be understanding and respectful of the staff doing a tough job there.
“As of today, the site is operating its longer summer opening hours from 8am to 6pm 7 days a week so there is a longer day to spread visits over and we will be reviewing the situation following the weekend to adjust the areas we can control to better serve the resident’s needs. “
