The new limits will be introduced by the city council between the Maskew Avenue roundabout on Bourges Boulevard and the Mounsteven Avenue roundabout on Lincoln Road.
These are either side of the A47/A15 roundabout, near Brotherhood Shopping Park, which will also become a 30mph zone.

Hide AdThe change follows the completion of controversial works at the A47/A15 roundabout which has seen pedestrian crossings installed at the slip roads and an extra lane of traffic introduced.
The works also saw repairs made to Rhubarb Bridge after a U-turn by the council, which had originally planned to demolish the popular foot and cycle bridge.
Campaigners have warned that the new crossings could lead to fatalities, claims backed up by a safety audit which warned the council it should expect four collisions a year involving pedestrians if the scheme went ahead, including one every two years which would be fatal or serious.
The council has said the scheme has been designed to be safe.

A fixed date for the new speed limits has not been decided, the spokesperson added, but the order changing the speed limits comes into effect on June 29.
Bourges Boulevard is currently a 30mph limit from the Rivergate roundabout up past the roundabout by Waitrose.
