All lines have now reopened at Welwyn Garden City following an earlier fault with the signalling system, but there have been a number of cancellations and trains bmay continue to be delayed by up to 90 minutes, cancelled or revised while the service returns to normal.
Disruption is expected to continue until noon.
Great Northern or Thameslink tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on a number of other services.
