The motorists were spotted manoeuvring their cars down the tight cycle lane on Thorpe Road approaching the Queensgate Roundabout at 8.15am today.

There was barely enough room for the two vehicles between the barriers and the pavement in the lane, which had been put in place during the COVID pandemic to encourage people to get out of their cars and onto bikes.

The lady who took the picture, who asked not to be named, said she believed the driver had to get out of their car and move the barrier to get onto the roundabout.
