Motorists are advised to avoid the area while emergency workers deal with the situation.
A police spokesman said: “At about 8.37am today (29 October) an officer on patrol came across a collision involving two cars on the A47 at Ravensthorpe.
“Officers are in attendance and the road has been closed whilst recovery takes place. It is expected to re-open soon.
“One woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
