The road will be completely shut at King’s Dyke from 7am on Thursday, July 30 for a fortnight.
This is because Lindum Homes is building 68 homes close to the nature reserve and needs to undergo a sewer connection and to divert underground utilities.

In a letter to residents, Lindum said the closure was “unavoidable” but that it had timed the works with the school summer holidays when there is less traffic on the roads.
A signed diversion route will also be put in place.
At the same time as the closure, Jones Bros will undertake works on the King’s Dyke scheme which will see a new road and bridge constructed over the level crossing.
The works will be carried out with temporary traffic lights installed.
