A47 closed near Peterborough after serious collision involving two lorries and a car

The A47 has been closed near Peterborough due to a serious collision.

Officers are currently responding to a serious collision on the A47 near Sutton.

The collision, which happened at about 12.30pm today (28 January), involved two HGVs and a car.

Paramedics and fire crews also attended the scene. At least one person has been seriously injured, but further details are unclear at this stage.

The road has been closed in both directions from the A1 junction at Wansford to Sutton Heath Road.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is should call police on 101 or visit www.cambs.police.uk/report quoting incident 203 of 28 January.
