Peterborough road shut after car collides with child cyclist

The incident happened at Hartwell Way in Westwood this afternoon (Friday, May 27).

Cambridgeshire police were called at 3.20pm, according to a spokesman.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a boy on Hartwell Way, Peterborough at 3.16pm today.

“An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended and took the patient to Peterborough City Hospital for further care.”
