Pensioner in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest in Peterborough

The emergency services were called to Dryden Road in New England shortly after 6am this morning.
A spokeswoman for Magpas Air Ambulance said: “At 6.46am this morning (October 10) Magpas doctor Daniel Sedgewick and paramedic Kier Rutherford arrived in Peterborough via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest.

Hide Ad“Fortunately, when the Magpas enhanced medical team arrived an East of England Ambulance Service paramedic crew were providing the man (in his 70s) with advanced life support.
“The Magpas doctor paramedic team then placed the man into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying him to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance. The patient was in a critical condition upon arrival.”
