Man in serious condition after car overturns in Peterborough street in suspected drink driving incident
A man, who is suspected of drink driving, suffered serious injuries after crashing his car, which overturned, in a Peterborough street yesterday.
Police were called at 4.39pm to the single vehicle crash, involving a black Mercedes, in Chestnut Avenue.
The East of England Ambulance Service were on the scene in about three minutes, closely followed by a duty locality officer.
The driver has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital and is being treated for serious injuries.
He is suspected of drink driving but no arrests have been made as his medical treatment is ongoing.
