Long delays at Peterborough shopping centre caused by roadworks
Shoppers are being warned of long delays around Serpentine Green in Hampton due to road works.
There have been reports of delays of up to 20 minutes to leave the centre - and a spokesman for Serpentine Green tweeted: “Please give yourself extra time to enter and exit the car park. Due to highway maintenance works in both directions outside Serpentine Green, traffic is moving slowly on the main roundabout. We understand your frustration during this time and ask customers to be patient.”
The roadworks are being carried out by O2 as preparation to install a new phone mast, and are scheduled to finish tomorrow (April 25).
