Boeing 737 simulator now flying worldwide from Sibson Airfield

Sibson Airfield may not be the obvious choice of airport for the international '˜jet set', however that has all changed thanks to local pilot and business entrepreneur Jonathan Lockton.

Former trainee airline pilot Jonathan has built a Boeing 737 – 800 flight training simulator, that is so realistic it is suitable for qualified airline pilots who are preparing for interviews. It can also be used by budding enthusiasts looking to take the controls of a jet liner in a safe and fun environment.

Jonathan said: “The simulator took six months to build and is an exact replica of a Boeing 737 - 800. We sourced original parts for the simulator from around the world to ensure the flight experience it provides is as close to actually flying it as possible.”

The 737 simulator, based at Sibson Airfield, can be programmed to take off from and land at over 15,000 airports around the world, including a full and accurate flight plan. Flying instruction for professional pilots is provided by fully qualified, serving airline pilots, to ensure it is relevant and up to date with current airline best practice.

Jonathan says the combination of jet simulator and light aircraft flying is quickly establishing itself as the ‘must do’ team building event for businesses looking to offer their staff a truly unique experience.
