A47 in Peterborough closed due to horses in the road

The road was closed around Eye, police said shortly before 7pm this evening (Sunday).

Motorists were being told to avoid the area, but the road has now reopened

This is the second warning issued by police today after eight horses went loose early this afternoon. On that occasion the horses were seen near the A1139.
