Success for city charity
A charity is celebrating after raising tens of thousands of pounds in Peterborough last year.
The Peterborough Macmillan Fundraising Committee raised an amazing £65,479 through their fundraising in 2015.
The money raised by the committee will help fund Macmillan grants for local people affected by cancer in Peterborough. Macmillan provides grants to people affected by cancer who are struggling financially to help with costs arising from their treatment. In 2015, because of the great fundraising of the committee Macmillan were able to provide 132 people in Peterborough with a grant averaging £376.
