Six injured in Peterborough crash

Six people were injured in a crash on the A47 in Peterborough.

Emergency services were called just after 9.50pm on Saturday (11 July) with reports of a collision on the A47 at Bretton in the city.

The collision involved two cars, one of which left the carriageway and careered into a wooded area.

Six people were taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the collision the eastbound carriageway of the A47 was closed while the incident was dealt with. The road was re-opened just after midnight.

Police are now appealing for witnesses as they try and find what caused the crash.
