Roof appeal at Peterborough Cathedral
On the eve of Peterborough Cathedral's 900th anniversary, an appeal has been launched to help fund repairs to the roof.
A cathedral spokesman said holes have been found in the roof of the new building.
The spokesman said: “Urgent temporary patch up on the New Building roof being carried out today after large holes discovered. If you are feeling generous this Christmas, we are going to need a new roof - we’ll even take the bucket.”
