Fletton resident Peter Slinger has complained about the grass at Fletton Recreation Ground, he said: “I have contacted all three of our new local councillors and there has been no explanation at all why the Recreation ground is not being mown.

“It is currently unusable for ball games or any kind or recreation other than hide and seek. Some have suggested the council may claim it is to promote wildlife but this is an intensively used urban recreation area for sport, exercise and fresh air - it is not the Serengeti!”

The Peterborough Telegraph is contacting the city council for a response.
