Popular pet day a huge ‘sss-uccess’ for farm

More than 1,000 people brought their animals to Sacrewell’s popular pet experience day, held at the weekend.

Amongst the animals, big and small, included snakes, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs.

Children enjoyed a day of animal-themed fun, including an assault course, a pet photography competition and prizes for the best pets in a number of categories.

An array of exhibitors entertained the crowds throughout the day including Hill Farm Birds of Prey, Chimbunny Stud, Furry Petz, Nuvet, Deeping Reptiles, Peterborough and District Herpetological Exotic Society, the South Lincs Herpetology Society, Peterborough Cats Protection, Judy Sewell from Hearing Dogs for deaf people and Dawn Mason with her hamsters.

Organiser Tracey Denwood said: “Everyone had a fantastic time, we’re really pleased with how the event went and are already looking forward to next year.”
