Crowland to get 55 new affordable homes

More than 50 new affordable homes are to be built in the south of Lincolnshire.

Leading social housing provider Longhurst Group is to build 55 new homes in Crowland.

The homes, which will be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom properties, will be built by GEDA Construction on Crease Drove and will be available for shared ownership, rent to buy and affordable rent.

The housing association, which owns and manages more than 23,000 homes across the Midlands and East of England, has offices in Boston, Lincoln and Grimsby.

Longhurst Group’s Executive Director of Growth and Development Marcus Keys said: “We’re aware of the need for more affordable housing for rent and home ownership across South Holland district and are delighted to be able to bring these much needed homes to fruition.

“The 100 percent affordable development will start construction this year and I’m looking forward to seeing the site progress as we deliver much needed new housing to Crowland and the surrounding area.”
