Police investigation after serious crash in Peterborough

Two cars were involved in the collision, with one of the drivers understood to have left the scene.

A police spokesperson told the Peterborough Telegraph that officers were called to the scene at 4pm today (October 8) with reports of a two vehicle collision in Herlington, Orton Malborne.

Police and an ambulance attended the scene, and the spokesperson confirmed that officers were investigating the possibility that one of the drivers had left the scene.

An passer-by told the Peterborough Telegraph: “I saw a car hit a lampost. The man got out and ran towards nearby houses.”

It is not believed anyone involved was seriously injured.
