Watch as police tell drug dealer he's a 'one-stop-shop' but man replies 'More like Asda, Bro'
A man caught dealing a cocktail of drugs was told by police as they handcuffed him that he was like a ‘one-stop-shop’ but he told them: ‘More like, Asda, Bro.’
The witty exchange was caught on police bodycam as they arrested Umear Akhtar (28) for the second time in three months as he supplied a range of drugs in Peterborough.
Akhtar, of Ashcroft Gardens, Eastfield, Peterborough, was jailed for eight years at Cambridge Crown Court on November 18.
He had admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, MDMA and cannabis, as well as possession with intent to supply ketamine, three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

The court had heard that Akhtar had been in a property in Park Road, Peterborough, on June 30, 2022 when officers responded to reports of concern for someone.
Once inside the premises, officers discovered large quantities of class A and B drugs worth up to £42,000, including cocaine, MDMA, ketamine and cannabis.
They also found nearly £6,000 in cash hidden in various places.
The person police were concerned about was not at the property and they arrested Akhtar and he was eventually charged with 10 drug-related offences.
He initially denied the charges when he appeared in court and was released to attend further hearings.
Then, on August 2 this year, officers on patrol in Scalford Drive, Welland, spotted a suspected drug user get into a BMW that Akhtar was driving.
When they conducted a stop search they found cannabis, MDMA, cocaine and nitrous oxide cannisters in the vehicle.
While the car was being searched, two mobile phones belonging to Akhtar received multiple notifications that were later identified as relating to drug dealing.
It was during this search that Akhtar was told he was like a ‘one-stop-shop.’
He can be heard on camera replying: “One stop am I, yeah? More like Asda, Bro.”
Akhtar’s arrest was part of Operation RedWolf, an initiative led by the Neighbourhood Support Team in Peterborough that aims to disrupt county lines drug networks and safeguard vulnerable people that may be exploited as a result.
After the court hearing, DC Lloyd Davis said: “Akhtar’s persistent criminal behaviour showed a disregard for the law and the harm drugs cause in our communities.
“Despite being arrested and charged for serious offences, he continued to deal drugs while going through the court process.
“This sentence reflects the severity of the case, and I hope sends a strong message that we will pursue relentlessly those who profit from drug dealing.”
Anyone with information about drug dealing or production can report this on Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s website, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
