Vandals go on destruction spree on Peterborough estate
An estate in Peterborough has fallen victim to a large amount of vandalism.
Residents in Horrell Court in Bretton awoke over the Bank Holiday Weekend to find that a large amount of damage had been done on the estate.
This includes two two perspex bike shelters being damaged, with one being completely smashed to pieces. A number of gas metres on the outside of homes were also targeted with multiple covers completely destroyed, leaving the metres exposed as well as a number of loose wires, potentially exposed to the elements.
One resident told the Peterborough Telegraph: “This kind of mindless vandalism is really frustrating and causes major inconvenience for residents.
"Something needs to be done so they aren’t so many people who feel committing these types of acts are a good use of their time.
