Up to 200 jobs could be created with warehouses plan for Peterborough
About 200 jobs could be created under new plans to create a business park in Peterborough.
New proposals have been put together to build four warehouses on a site at Staplee Way, Parnwell
The plans, which have just been submitted to Peterborough City Council, will create five buildings, with one of the four divided into two, that it is estimated will be able to cater for up to 200 people.
The venture has been drawn up by Staplee Management Company which says the new plans replace an earlier application by another company for two large buildings.

That application was withdrawn following objections to the height of the buildings and their closeness to the historic site of Oxney Grange.
A document submitted with the application states that the scheme has ‘been re-designed to provide five smaller units within four buildings that will adjacent to the exiting Tesco distribution centre.
It states: “The floor space and height of the buildings have been reduced from the previous application, and the buildings have been placed further away from Oxney Grange to protect the structure of the 19th century buildings and below-ground archaeology, which includes the newly discovered site of part of the moat to Oxney Grange.
It adds: “The Eyebury Road frontage will be maintained as landscaped habitat, in order to preserve archaeology, which will maintain an open setting to the Oxney Grange site.”
It is intended that the development will provide a total of 20,695 square metres of industrial floorspace split across the five units for industrial and warehouse use.
The buildings have been laid out around an estate road leading from the end of the access road from Staplee Way.
There will be parking paces for 182 cars plus 106 cycle parking spaces and 12 spaces for drivers with disabilities.
Once completed, the development should help create another employment boost for Peterborough.
Earlier this year a manufacturing firm was expected to create 150 jobs with a move into the city and a family run firm, EPD Insulation Group secured £18.5 million from the Nat West to support its ongoing expansion in the city.
