Superdrug bosses reveal retailer's third Peterborough store will open in weeks

Bosses at Superdrug have revealed their new Peterborough should be open in just weeks.

Superdrug revealed last month that it was seeking to open a third store in the city with the chosen location being premises at the Brotherhood Shopping Park at Lincoln Road, Walton.

A spokesperson for the retailer said: “We are hoping to open the new store by the end of October.”

The retailer’s owner, the AS Watson Group, has submitted plans to Peterborough City Council for a number of illuminated brand advertising signs.

The designs show some of the signs will display the name Superdrug.

The intention is to open in the former store operated by Tapi Carpets and Floors, which moved to Boulevard Retail Park, Maskew Avenue, earlier this year.

Approval is being sought for a ‘flex-faced light box at high level, an internally illuminated fascia sign above the door, LED light goalpost and DDA compliant window manifestations’.

Superdrug has stores at Queensgate Shopping Centre and Serpentine Green Shopping Centre, Hampton.
