Start your own Strictly journey at Peterborough dance studios

It’s been all change on Strictly Come Dancing this year, with new presenters taking their places.

And, as we all know, not everyone likes change! There’s certainly been plenty of discussion about the new faces, but regardless of whether you’re a fan or not, one thing is undeniable… we’ve already seen some fabulous dancing from this year’s celebrities and their professional partners.

Whilst it’s still too early to predict who might lift that famous Glitterball Trophy, watching the couples develop their skills, confidence and partnerships is always a joy.

And it’s something Anita Winter, owner of Tu Danse Studios in Peterborough, knows a thing or two about.

Having run the studios on Newark Road for almost 20 years, Anita has witnessed countless dancing journeys, from complete beginners nervously taking their first steps onto the dance floor to confident, experienced dancers enjoying a hobby they never imagined they would love quite so much.

“Strictly Come Dancing is always a highlight of our year,” says Anita.

“It’s a huge topic of conversation amongst our customers, and as the weeks go by, we all have our favourites and plenty of opinions about who might win!

“But what I particularly love is watching the celebrities progress. Seeing someone who has never danced before gradually gain confidence and discover the sheer enjoyment of dancing is something I get to witness regularly here at Tu Danse Studios.

“Over the last 20 years, we’ve welcomed so many couples through our doors, many of whom originally decided to give dancing a try because they enjoyed watching Strictly. Some are still dancing with us years later!”

So why not start your own Strictly journey?

Ballroom and Latin dancing has always been a big part of life at Tu Danse Studios, and the popular beginners’ classes have introduced hundreds of couples to the wonderful world of dance.

Dancing isn’t just a fantastic hobby. It also offers numerous physical and mental health benefits, helping with fitness, coordination, balance, memory and confidence.

And perhaps most importantly, it’s a wonderful way to spend quality time together, have fun, meet new people and learn something new.

Tu Danse Studios have a new Adult Couples class starting on November 13 (7.15pm – 8.15pm).

It costs £20 per couple, payable weekly, and during the first few weeks, couples will learn the basic steps of some of Strictly’s most popular dances, including the Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Jive and Rhythm Foxtrot.

Absolutely no previous experience is necessary, and you will dance with your own partner throughout the lessons.

Perhaps you’re planning a cruise, have a wedding or family celebration coming up, or simply want to feel confident enough to get up and enjoy a dance rather than watching everyone else.

Whatever your reason, these classes could be just what you’re looking for!

And who knows… you might just discover a hobby you’ll enjoy together for years to come
