£5,000 plus cash boost for Peterborough's Project Abundance after business awards
Guests at a business awards celebration in Peterborough have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity.
More than £5,000 has been raised by guests at the Peterborough Community Business Awards that took place last month.
And now the £5,535 has just been presented to volunteers with the Peterborough-based educational market garden, Project Abundance, also known as the Green Backyard.
Awards organiser Gez Chetal said: “We are delighted to present the money to Project Abundance.

He said: “We were proud to present the cheque to Lewis Vernon from Project Abundance at a ceremony art the Peterborough United ground with Barry Fry who helped to raise the funds with us on the awards evening.”
Mr Chetal added: “The community business awards are getting bigger and better every year and this year being the third awards ceremony was amazing.
The auction on the night was incredible and all our donations and sponsorships raised this amazing amount.”
