Posh had been 0-3 down with the point needed to take them up seeming a distant possibility. But a remarkable comeback and a Jonson Clarke-Harris penalty in the 96th minute of a rollercoaster game levelled the scores and took Peterborough United into the Championship.
The goal triggered wild celebrations outside the Weston Homes Stadium in London Road where fans had gathered for the game.
Players and staff went outside to celebrate with fans after the match.
