Police name man who died in A47 crash at Peterborough

A man who died following a three-vehicle collision on the A47, Wansford on Tuesday (21 April) has been named.

Officers were called at about 4pm to the collision, which involved a Mazda 3SE, Renault Clio and Fiat Fullback.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Mazda – John Jenkins, 72, of Loughborough Road, Birstall, Leicester, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics.

A passenger in the Mazda and the driver of the Renault were both taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries.
