The trial is a long term project and both stores will create an unspecified number of jobs.

Andrew Killingsworth, owner and chief executive of Yours Clothing and BadRhino, said: “As the leading retailer of ladies curve clothing and big and tall menswear clothing, we are excited about introducing even more customers to both brands via our partnership with Tesco, whilst offering great value on trend clothing that fits and flatters.

He said: “As the retail environment adapts to a new way of working, opening stores in partnership with Tesco is an exciting development for us and assists with our ongoing growth plans.

“Our new store opens on Friday, April 30 at 9.30am and I am excited to see the end product which is the result of a lot of hard work.”

The partnership is another in a series of successes for the plus-sized women’s fashion retailer and its big and tall men’s clothing chain BadRhino.

Eight months ago, AK Retail Holdings, the owner of Yours Clothing, acquired the women’s speciality retailer Long Tall Sally, which caters specifically for women five feet, eight inches tall and above, in a move that created 30 jobs.

As well Yours Clothing and BadRhino, AK Retail Holdings also own Bump It Up Maternity and Yours London.

Mr Killingsworth said that AK Retail’s portfolio had experienced ongoing and recent success by bringing on trend clothing to specialist markets with a focus on fit and quality at a competitive price.

Two months ago, Yours Clothing was named among the top 200 companies with the fastest growing international sales by the Sunday Times.
