Peterborough’s Lido has reopened three days after an unexpected closure
Peterborough’s open air swimming pool has reopened three days after its unexpected closure.
The open air swimming pool, in Bishop’s Road, closed on Wednesday (July 1) to allow for ‘essential’ maintenance work to be carried out.
And even today (July 3) managers had announced that the early swim, which was to start at 7am, was cancelled.
However a yoga class at the Lido was still able to go ahead.

Now in a new social media post just issued today, managers have announced the pool’s reopening.
A spokesperson stated: "We are pleased to announce that the pool has now reopened.
“Thank you for your patience. Bookings are open again as normal.
The pool has been closed since July 1 because of issues thought to be related to the Lido’s plant room.
A Lido spokesperson said: “It was closed due to a filtration issue in the plant room, so it required essential maintenance to resolve the issue.”
