He is now planning a third piece to complete a trilogy - although when he created his first piece, he never planned for a set. His first work was commissioned by charity Diaspora.

He said: “The artwork was never planned as a trilogy, just following the success of the first piece the charity commissioned me for a second piece. I really felt they should be related so wanted to do something with hands, I’ve really enjoyed painting them and something so simple seems to have connected with so many people.

“My new concept was actually about unity with the help of my wife, we have a good idea but then I had the idea of a respect piece and that’s how it evolved into a trilogy. We are still looking for a location for the 3rd piece as I feel it should be different but near to the others so they all connect.

“The reaction has been incredible, beautiful and just really positive. I’ve had messages from people worldwide expressing there emotional connection to it and some of my friends in the city have really touched me with emotional words. Whilst painting the new piece; people of all colour, ethinicity and religions positively engaged with me and showing me the “respect fist bump” as a positive gesture to the work.
