Peterborough residents urged to clap for carers at 8pm tonight

Peterborough will once again clap for carers this evening as residents pay tribute to front line staff who are doing their best to fight coronavirus.

Residents are encouraged to open their front doors, windows or step onto balconies and clap and cheer to say thank you to the key workers at 8pm this evening.

Last week scores of families took part in the initiative, and it is hoped more will participate this evening.

During the first clap for carers evening, landmarks across the country turned blue to honour NHS staff.
