Peterborough Jazz Club returns with its special Christmas show

Peterborough Jazz Club returns to the Key Theatre Studio on Saturday (13th) with the Christmas Special – featuring the Georgia Mancio Quartet.

A multi-award-winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer, Georgia is celebrating her 25th anniversary in music, with a series of concerts throughout the year – performing here with Gareth Lockrane (piano & flute), Andrew Cleyndert (double bass), and Dave Ohm (drums).

A supreme storyteller and formidable force on today’s scene, Georgia creates work of beauty and bite. Her copious industry acknowledgements include consecutive wins at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards: Best Vocalist (2021) and Best Album (‘Finding Home’ with Kate Williams’ Four Plus Three, 2020), and several nominations at the Jazz FM, British Jazz and Urban Music Awards.

Her revered partnership with Grammy-winning pianist/composer, Alan Broadbent, has yielded over 40 co-written works (many published in their book, ’The Songs of Alan Broadbent and Georgia Mancio’); three globally acclaimed albums (‘Quiet Is The Star’, ‘Songbook’ and ‘A Story Left Untold’); and performances across Europe and the US, including Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz at Lincoln Center (NYC). Other credits include: Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, BBC Proms (2019), Pat Metheny (lyric approval), Bobby McFerrin and her own festivals ReVoice! and Hang.
