A Peterborough City Council spokeswoman said that despite the coronavirus crisis, all residents were welcome to attend the service to remember Michael.

Suggestions have included a plaque at the bus stop where he made his home to trees being planted in Ferry Meadows. Neighbours living in the same Cross Keys sheltered accommodation scheme as Michael have also called for something to be done at the scheme to remember him.
