Peterborough HQ of Deafblind UK charity is sold in multi-million pound deal

The national offices of Deafblind UK, in Cygnet Park, in Hampton, have been bought by RWM Investments.

The single storey building of 19,265 sq ft, which is set in a 3.4 acres site, was sold for more than £2.5 million.

The new owners say the building will eventually be turned into a medical centre.

A spokesperson for Deafblind said the funds from the sale would be invested in new and existing services to support more people who are deaf and blind across the UK.

Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, which oversaw the sale, said: “The sale of the building on Cygnet Park provided an opportunity to purchase a premium property in one of Peterborough’s top office parks, which was suitable for a range of alternative uses.

“We are very pleased to have secured this sale on behalf of the charity.”
