Peterborough girl donates hair to cancer charity after growing it for five years
Last week she had 16 inches cut, which will now be donated to the charity that works to make wigs for children suffering with hair loss due to cancer or other illnesses. She has also managed to raise over £500, which will help cover the cost of such a wig.
Aimee, who lives in Hampton, decided to start growing her hair after a conversation with her mum Michelle following an incident with her own hair and a pair of scissors while in reception class.

The hair salon is celebrating their 45th anniversary but have had to put their celebration plans on hold.
Michelee said: “She’s finding it very strange to brush short hair and she now feels the cold on her neck. Obviously she was nervous at first, it’s the shortest she’s ever had her hair but she’s now looking forward to growing it for another few years to donate again in the future.”
