Despite not being able to take bookings for face painting, Hayley hasn’t let her talents go to waste.

Hayley is renowned in her area for doing spectacular murals at Christmas and Easter every year and, wanting to thank the NHS and key workers and cheer up her neighbours, she used acrylic paint to fill her windows with a rainbow with a thank you message.

Though Hayley is still working as a key worker in the financial sector, she didn’t want to let her spare time go to waste. She said: “When I was painting people were stopping and watching and saying how lovely it is. It’s a nice thing to do while I’m not face painting to keep me busy and continue being creative.”

Especially pleased are her neighbours who said they’d love the whole street to be covered with the special window art. Others are now planning their daily exercise around seeing the artwork.

Explaining the process to other people, Hayley hopes they are inspired to have a go in their windows.

To remove the acrylic paint from your windows, Hayley advises soapy water and a sponge, and if that doesn’t work use a spray bottle with some white spirit.
