Peterborough community unite in support of toy drop in memory of parents
Businesses and members of the community across Peterborough have united in support of a major hospital toy drop.
Team Unspoken, in partnership with Raise the Age UK, will be delivering toys to hospitals across the country on August 22 and 24. These toys will have been chosen by bereaved parents, in loving memory of children whose lives were tragically lost following the devastating harms associated with social media.
The efforts of Team Unspoken have been supported by a generous donations from across the community.
Atiq Rehman of Team Unspoken said: “An incredible act of community kindness has helped bring the Hospital Toy Drop campaign one step closer to reality.

“I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Smiths Toys for their outstanding support. Their generosity included a £500 donation of brand-new toys, alongside a 20% discount on our purchase, helping us provide even more gifts for the children and families we will be visiting this August.
We also want to thank one of our main sponsors, who wished to remain anonymous. Their words perfectly captured the spirit of this campaign:
“This is between me and God. What a heartfelt project. How could I not be a part of something for these beautiful children who are no longer with us?”
“Their compassion and generosity have funded a significant part of this project, and we pray they are rewarded abundantly.
“A special thank you also goes to Millfield Autos for their valued contribution, and to HITS at Goodman’s for providing transportation and ongoing support to ensure the toys reach the families and hospitals safely.
"To every individual, business, and supporter who has stood beside us—thank you. Your kindness is helping turn unimaginable pain into hope, and your generosity will leave a lasting legacy in the names of these beautiful children."
In August, Team Unspoken and Raise the Age UK will deliver these toys to hospitals chosen by bereaved parents, in loving memory of children whose lives were tragically lost following the devastating harms associated with social media.
The plan is this not to simply be a toy donation— but a national act of remembrance, compassion, and hope.
Together, the event will show grieving families that their children will never be forgotten. The team hope this campaign also encourages vital conversations about online safety, protecting future generations, and using the power of community to create positive change.
