Nearly 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Peterborough

There are now nearly 50 confirmed cased of COVID 19 in Peterborough, government figures show.

The figures, released by Public Health England today, show there are 48 confirmed cases of the disease in the city, as of today (April 3).

There are 172 cases in Cambridgeshire, 182 cases in Lincolnshire and 264 cases in Northamptonsjire.

Across the country, there are a total of 38,168 cases of the disease.

In England, sadly there have been 3,605 deaths of people who have contracted the disease.

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust has said four people with the disease have died at Peterborough City Hospital, and six have died at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
