The class will be on John Eve Field, opposite the Tesco Superstore in Market Deeping, at 11am on Sunday and is open to all ages and abilities.

It is free to attend but donations will be taken towards helping NHS charities and for the victims of the fire that devastated a local bungalow in Beech Close on Friday, just next to the John Eve Field itself.

HITTStep is a high intensity workout that can be completed both with and without a step, but anyone who does have one is advised to bring their own.

Chris said: “We’re going to be playing some high energy music and having fun. Anyone can come along, even if they just want to watch, offer their support or simply dance around to the music.

“This class can be for everyone, I have even worked with an 80-year-old man recovering from a stroke and this workout helped him.

Chris, who started personal training last year, said he has seen a large increase in the number of people looking to keep fit during lockdown. This has prompted him to run daily online HIITStep classes for the last 20 weeks on his Facebook page (ChrisFit Personal Trainer). People have the option to pay per class or for the whole week and even if they can’t follow live, can be sent the video to take the class whenever is convenient.

Chris has been nominated for four Deeping Business Awards for his work and it is his love for the community that has motivated this fundraiser.

He added: “I’m a Deeping boy, I lived there for many years before moving to Spalding recently. It’s nice to try and give back to the community and with what has gone on recently, I decided to make this a dual fundraiser.

“I’ve had a lot of people contact me who have never tried HITTStep before or even any kind of exercise and the feeback and engagement has been amazing.

“You don’t have to go flat out, even if it is just moving around the house more, you feel so much better both physically and mentally for it and that’s that we hope to continue this Sunday.”
